We’ve been fans of Lucie Fink (@luciebfink) for a long time, and especially love her sense of humor and real-talk about parenting. Now, after a year in the making, we’re excited to debut our new collaboration: Magnetic Me x Lucie Fink!
Designed with the artist, storyteller, and mom of two, these matching, magnetic PJs celebrate fall's special moments. Inspired by days spent with her children in her garden, Lucie’s hand-drawn print is all about connection—with your family, with nature, and with this season of early parenthood.

About The Collection
“Becoming a mom didn’t quiet my creativity—it turned the volume all the way up. Suddenly I found myself wanting to paint, doodle, and design things that felt playful and hands-on in a whole new way.
Creating this collection was such a fun way to bridge the gap between my work, my art, and motherhood, bringing all the parts of my life together into one joyful, tangible expression. And getting to see my own kids (and now my growing crew of nieces and nephews) actually wear these pajamas makes it even more special.”
The Design Process
How did you choose exactly which items to feature in your print?
“I started by thinking about the colors, textures, and little moments that make me think of fall. Then I began sketching and painting everything that came to mind. It wasn't until I had dozens of illustrations that I started arranging them together to see which ones worked best as a pattern.
It was actually an interesting lesson in color theory. Some of my favorite illustrations had to be cut because they were visually overpowering or didn't feel balanced alongside the others. I experimented with countless layouts before landing on a composition that felt playful, cohesive, and full of little discoveries!”
Walk us through the design process: what was your idea behind each step?
”I grow vegetables in my backyard garden, so the initial inspiration came from what was literally growing outside my office window. I also love visiting farmers' markets. Fresh produce, flowers, cider, baked goods—those outings capture everything I love about the season, so I wanted the collection to feel like a cozy Saturday morning at the market.
I started by painting a bunch of individual illustrations by hand. Once they were finished, I scanned them and began arranging them into a repeating pattern. That's when I could really experiment—changing the direction of different illustrations, layering elements, filling the produce bags with different fruits and vegetables, and finding the right balance of color and movement until everything felt just right.
One thing that was especially important to me was creating a truly gender-neutral print. I have both a son and a daughter, and I wanted to design pajamas that felt timeless, playful, and perfect for every child.”
There's something so special about toddlers. How did this age's chaos and surprises inspire you?
”One of my favorite things about having young kids is that they're constantly surprising me. Every day, they notice something I would've overlooked or find joy in the tiniest details.
I wanted this print to have that same feeling. At first glance, it's a fun fall pattern, but the longer you look, the more little surprises you uncover. There are tiny details throughout—from all the different flowers tucked into the back of the truck to the fruits and vegetables peeking out of the produce bags. I wanted the print to keep surprising and delighting you every time you looked at it.”
How did you involve your kids in creating this collection?
”Whenever I'm painting, I always set up a little art station next to me so my kids can paint too. While I was creating this collection, they were sitting right beside me making their own masterpieces. It made the whole process feel even more meaningful because we were creating together.”
What’s one Magnetic Me product you’d recommend to other parents?
”For babies, you just have to feel the fabric to understand it. It’s so soft, it wears well, and everything my son used we’ve now passed on to his sister. It’s amazing quality. Once your child is able to start picking out their own pajamas, this will be what they’re reaching for. I’d also recommend the outerwear for kids. The styles make getting dressed (which is one of the hardest parts of the day with kids) so fast and easy.”
Parenting
What about motherhood surprised you the most?
“Kids are just always going to be kids. There are all these things the world tries to give you scripts for to ‘do right,’ and sometimes kids are just going to be kids.”
What are some of your favorite fall activities to do with your kids?
”Apple picking, pumpkin patches, visiting local farms, baking together, and taking long walks through the woods to collect colorful leaves.”
What are 3 easy ways to introduce art to young kids in daily life?
”Visit art museums together! Even young children can enjoy looking at art and talking about what they see.
Keep art supplies easily accessible. We always have crayons, markers, and paper within reach so creating feels like a natural part of the day. I also create alongside them. Kids learn so much by observing, and it becomes a fun shared activity rather than something you're directing.

How have you built the bond between your two kids?
”From the very beginning, my husband and I have talked about how special their sibling relationship is. At the same time, we've tried not to interfere too much and instead let them build that relationship themselves. We encourage them to work through disagreements, solve little conflicts together, and learn how to be there for one another.
We've also been intentional about not comparing them or creating unnecessary competition. We celebrate each of them for who they are individually, and I think that has helped them become teammates instead of rivals.”

What is your guilty pleasure for winding down?
“A 10-minute scalding hot shower.”
