How Our Magnetic Closures Work

Each garment uses our SewSafe™ construction, which means the magnets are completely concealed, never touching your baby’s skin. Each magnet is encased in a tough yet flexible plastic disc, and the encased magnets are then hidden within the fabric and securely stitched inside each garment. 

Simply line up the two sides of the garment together, and the magnets quickly click into place. It's how we make dressing fast and easy, with your little one's safety always top of mind.

Caring for Your Magnetic Me Clothes

- Always close the magnets before washing. This keeps them from attaching to the drum or other items in the load.
- Wash on cold and dry for 30 minutes on low heat. High heat isn’t great for the fabric or the magnets, so low and slow is the way to go.

Can magnetic baby clothes go in the dryer?

No. The SewSafe™ construction keeps the magnets exactly where they should be, and they hold their strength through years of washing and wear.

Are magnetic clothes safe for all babies?

For the vast majority of babies, yes. If your baby has an implanted medical device, we’d recommend checking in with your pediatrician before using magnetic clothing, just to be sure. For everyone else, our SewSafe™ magnets are completely and securely enclosed in the fabric and never touch skin.

How do I find the right size?

Most of our nightwear is designed for a snug fit, which is a safety standard. If they’re between sizes or prefer a little more room, you can size up. If they’re 9M+, you can find a more relaxed fit in our RightFit™ styles. Our size chart is based on weight and length rather than age alone, which tends to give a much more accurate fit.

Can toddlers dress themselves with magnetic closures?

Toddler styles with magnetic closures are much easier for small hands than buttons, zippers, or snaps. A little independence while getting dressed goes a long way for everyone’s morning.
