Meet Heart Warriors Zachary & Ollie
by Magnetic Me Sep 15 2025
Through our Heart to Heart program, Magnetic Me donates a year’s supply of pajamas to pediatric intensive care units at hospitals around the country, supporting families when they need it most.
Here, meet heart warriors Zachary and Ollie, along with their moms, friends Kaitlyn and Stephanie. In response to their stories, we’re donating a year’s supply of magnetic styles to their hospital, Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta.
Meet Moms Kaitlyn Harmon & Stephanie Williams
“Our sons, Zachary and Ollie, were born with critical congenital heart defects and spent much of their first year in the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU) and the Cardiac Acute Care Unit (CACU) at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta (CHOA).
As any heart parent knows, the hospital is a place of unimaginable intensity, monitors beeping, tubes everywhere, and moments when even holding your baby is impossible.
In those overwhelming days, your styles were a blessing. They were the only clothing that made sense for our sons, as they were easy to navigate around their central lines, chest tubes, IVs and monitor leads. They offered comfort, dignity, and a little bit of normalcy to allow us to feel like we had a typical newborn. Covering the lines and scars and adding some personality to our sweet boys meant so much to us! For us, they were more than just pajamas. They were the brightness of our day!”
Meet Zachary Williams
Zach was diagnosed prenatally with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome (HLHS). This rare CHD in Zach’s case means that only half of his heart developed. He was born June 8th, 2024, and underwent four open heart surgeries and a GI surgery during the first six months of his life. He spent his first 73 days in the hospital—60 of those days in the CICU due to several cardiac arrests, seizures, and a stroke. Flash forward to today: although Zach has been diagnosed with mild cerebral palsy, he is thriving. He’s now one and has begun to sit up and crawl! He's a ray of sunshine who loves to chase after his cousins and cats. Zach will go back for his next open heart surgery around three years old.
Meet Ollie Williams
Ollie was diagnosed with a rare CHD called Shone's Complex. He was born on August 26, 2023, and underwent two open heart surgeries at five days old and another at eight weeks old. He was admitted to CHOA four times during his first year due to various medical issues. Despite all that, he's now a thriving almost 2-year-old who's learning to talk and loves playing with his older brother. He has at least one surgery in his future.
